A young entrepreneur from Northern Michigan provided local footage for a recent edition of ABC’s “20/20.”
Eric Wotila owns and operates Freelancer Productions, a video production and web design business in Cadillac. Wotila, who has been providing various video production services since 2004, was hired to film the kick-off event of MasTech Manufacturing’s Windspire Manufacturing Facility in Manistee, MI on April 20. The facility is housed in a former auto parts plant, and is staffed by former auto industry workers.
On June 19, ABC News’ 20/20 aired a feature story which included a discussion about MasTech’s transition from the auto industry to the renewable energy industry. The segment, which is about six minutes in length, features a variety of footage from the “Windspiration Celebration” kick-off event, all of which was shot by Wotila.
“I was thrilled to hear the footage I shot at the kick-off event was used by a network news program,” said Wotila, “It’s very exciting, not to mention an honor, to see my work on national TV.”
